Saulnier, Russell Medric, 67 of Comeauville, passed away February 5,2021 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Meteghan, he was the 13th child born on Friday the 13th, November ,1953 to the late Edward and Lucy (Theriault) Saulnier. In 1968 he left Meteghan and found his dream job on the Canadian Pacific Railway which he thoroughly enjoyed for 40 years, returning “Home” in 2020. Russell liked to travel and dine at new places with good food. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; son, Aaron (Michelle Williams); stepsons, Douglas (Shannon) Lauder; Derek (Jennifer Dewhurst) Lauder; grandchildren, Morgen; Korie; Mya; Alexander; brothers, Lloyd (Lorraine); Norman (Claudia); Gerald (Estelle); Alfred (Barbara); sisters, Evelyn; Elaine (John); as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife and mother to his son, Dianne; brother, Medric; sisters, Loretta; Alva; Rita; Emily and Marie. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be no service at this time.In lieu of flowers and memorial donations the family would like you to take a friend to lunch, which Russell would have greatly appreciated.
