A Tribute In Memory Of
Ross Whitman, My Friend.

I've written this tribute in memory
of Ross Whitman, my friend;
And to his wife, Ruby and family
I most sincerely wish to extend,
My deepest heartfelt condolences
in the passing of your precious loved one;
Yes, from an earthly perspective
his journey is over and done.
But to be absent from the body
is to be present with the Lord, we are told;
Your departed loved one is with Jesus
and is now in His Heavenly fold.
Prior to His three year ministry here
Jesus was a carpenter, too;
He would later die on a cross
in which all glory and honor is due.
The fact that He died
and He arose from the grave;
Over two thousand years later
He still has power to save.
Nobody can make it into Heaven
on their good works and moral behaviour;
the actual truth of the matter is
we all stand in need of a Saviour.
Your departed loved one made the decision
to include Jesus Christ in his heart;
but the grieving process is normal
whenever a loved one departs.
But may it be of some consolation to you
to know that you are not grieving alone;
Many people are thinking of you at this time
and offering prayers to the Throne.
Nothing will ever again be the same
we're all going to miss our loved one and friend;
But at the very same time we can be sure
that death does not mark the end.
For to be absent form the body
is to be present with the Lord;
We can draw hope from this Scripture
and we can be fully assured.
Yes, his days of tinkering are over
and his fishing trips here are all done;
We can take great comfort in knowing
that his new life has only begun.
No more trips to the hospital
and no more sadness or grief;
It is my hope that these verses
will offer you a bit of relief.
I've written these verses in memory
of Ross Whitman, my friend;
My deepest heartfelt condolences
to his family I sincerely wish to extend.
