Obituary for Robert Kenneth Thibeau

Robert Kenneth Thibeau of Yarmouth passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024, at The Villa St Joseph Du Lac. He was born on July 13, 1941 to his parents George Thibeau of Tusket and Catherine (Leblanc) of Yarmouth.

He was an Ironworker by trade, but he also fished, clammed, and farmed.  He enjoyed woodworking and selling his wares. He also fished for fun and enjoyed a good hike, as well as a good joke, he had a great sense of humor.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Kevin) Vallillee; sons, Sheldon (Carmen) Thibeau and Joseph Muise; brothers, Clifford “James” (Mary Ellen) Thibeau and Willard (Linda) Thibeau; sister, Mildred Muise; grandchildren, Hunter, Nicole, Austin, Natasha, Raven, Matthew, Crystal, and Spencer; great-grandchildren, James and Charlie.

He is predeceased by his parents and his wife, Mary Theresa Thibeau; his son, Robin (Angela) Thibeau; brothers, Tom Thibeau and Richard Thibeau; sister, Mary Reid.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 11 A.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Father Henrey Smolenaars officiating. A visitation will be held one hour before the service. Interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in memory may be made to Gille Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund or the SPCA.
