Obituary for Robert Eric "Bob" Lynch

LYNCH Robert “Bob” Eric of Yarmouth, formerly of Milton, NS, passed away on January 10,2020 surrounded by loving family, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Clinton and Marjorie (Roche) Lynch. For 35 years Bob was a firefighter for the Dartmouth Fire Department, where he served as platoon chief for 15 years, until his retirement. Bob loved curling in the winter and being outdoors in the summer, playing golf, working in his yard and tending his gardens. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and always teasing the kids. Described by his family as a great family man who loved his children, grandchildren, and especially his loving wife Beverley Cain-Lynch, who will miss him dearly, and his daughter Connie (Donnie Webster,) Halifax. He will also be missed by the following who knew him as their beloved "Bonies": Stepdaughters, Cheryl (The late Mike) Hartlen, Fall River; Charlene Cain, PEI; Stepson, Donald(Michelle) Cain, Yarmouth; grandchildren: Michael, Krista, Heather, Lindsay, Deanne and Nolan; Great Grandchildren: Colby, Keira, Connor, Hallie, Hannah and Madelyn; Cousins Carol (Don) Gillon and Gary Roche. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home in Yarmouth. A celebration of life will take place at a later time, per his request. Donations in memory can be made to a Fire Department, The Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Society or charity of your choice.
