On Monday, August 29th, 2022, we lost an amazing man, a loving father, grandpa, brother and partner. His love for his children was immeasurable and he was a devoted and proud grandpa.
Robert Joseph Dukeshire was born July 12th, 1963, in Digby N.S. but resided in Yarmouth for the last 21 years. At the age of 59, he passed away at Yarmouth hospital surrounded by his family he held so dear after his ferocious battle with Cancer. He was a proud member of Search and Rescue, loved to cook and bake for his family, tending his garden, going fishing with his daughter Olivia, watching “The Leaf’s”, playing cards on Saturday nights, getting his morning Tim’s and more than anything just spending time with family. We will miss his humour, his smile, his sarcasm ,and most of all his love. Although he left us too soon, the impact he made on our lives will last a lifetime. He is survived by his partner, Carmen Crowell of 17 years; his daughters ,Kayla Wilson (J.C. Pothier) and Olivia Crowell; his beautiful granddaughter, Everly Pothier; stepson, Dwayne Crowell (Paijha Nickerson); sister ,Kelly Gervais (Trevor Kelly) and brother, Gary Dukeshire (Bonnie Titus); nephews, Torry (Sarah), Jessy (Sarah Lesson), Barrett and Jacob. He was predeceased by his mother, Sherry Raymond and Grandparents, Vivian (Gidney) and Nelson Raymond.
A celebration of life will be held, Monday, September 26,2022 from 2-4 p.m. in the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Family flowers only, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund
