Obituary for Robert Lawrence Borden

July 14,1964- February 17,2021
It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Borden. Born in Truro, NS, he was a son of George Borden and the late Anastasia Paris. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Robert was a family man. He would do anything for his family and loved them all dearly, especially his children. They were his world. In this final chapter of his life, he enjoyed playing video games, fishing, going to the beach, playing softball and bowling, but more importantly spending time with his 4-year-old daughter playing in the sandbox, swinging on the swings and just spending time with her. He was her hero. He leaves behind to mourn, his wife, Shannon (Killam), their daughter Aleeya; children, Amonzo Smith; Derrell Provo (Kalyn); Jesse Borden (Channing); Tyjah Borden (Laryah Rayner); Christian LaBelle; Trinity LaBelle; Kassandra Lynn; granddaughters, Jayda and Jordyn Provo; Kiara Smith ; many brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins, who Robert devoted his life to. He touched so many lives and will forever be missed and remembered. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date when family can gather.
