Obituary for Reigh Allison Poole

Reigh Allison Poole
October 18, 1935 – September 1, 2020

Reigh Allison Poole passed away peacefully on September 1, 2020 with his wife by his side at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Reigh was the son of the late Dorothy and Ronald Poole. From a young age, he had an engineering mind. He worked in the various automotive dealerships, boiler rooms, and up to retirement worked for D.O.T. at the Yarmouth Airport. Throughout his whole life he was well known for metal fabrication and custom builds in his garage. One of his creations was a family run business called Joyland Park where happy memories were created for many in the community. He was a long-time volunteer with the Yarmouth Fire Department and was proud of the fact that he was the last surviving elected deputy chief. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth (Jeffery); sister, Joyce MacDonald; daughters, Nancy (David) Bishara, Joan Brewer; son, Gordon (Mitzy); grandchildren, Elizabeth (Kevin), Ashley, Milan (Lindsay) Bishara, Brigham (Candice), Maxwell Poole; Keenan and Janelle Brewer; and great grandchildren, Peyton, Maddox Macleod. Predeceased by a daughter, Sheila; grandson, Jalen; and son-in-law, Steve Brewer. A special thank you to the Tri County V.O.N. and the doctors and staff of 3 East, for their kind and compassionate care. Donations in memory may be made to the Tri County V.O.N., HOPE (Bus Fund), or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be a private family visitation and service. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery in Kemptville.
