HUBBARD, Paul Kenneth – age 56, of South Ohio, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on January 28,2020. Born in Portage La Prairie on December 14,1963 he was a son to the late Walter R and Dianna M (Wyatt) Hubbard. He was also like a son to his late Aunt and Uncle Mickey and Conrad LeBlanc as well as stepmother, Barbara Hubbard who all played a large roll in his upbringing. Paul was a loving husband, father, and friend to many. Family was everything to him. He loved to spend time at family togethers, or with his wife Denise out fishing on the lake, landscaping their property, or having a friendly game of poker. He worked as a drywaller and in general construction and took great pride in his workmanship. Most recently he was the maintenance manager at the Rodd Grand Hotel. People would say that Paul was quick witted and enjoyed the simple things in life at his home on the lake. He is survived by his loving wife Denise Hubbard; son, Christopher Hubbard (Tom); step-children, Jessica, Luke and John Harris (Kate); Sisters, Dawn(Curt) Morton; Jill Hubbard, Brother, Richie Hubbard; step-siblings, Steven Schofield of and Sue (Dave) Dodge; and his buddy Rudy the dog. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a Sister, Jane Hubbard. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Friday January 31, 2020 from 12 until funeral time at 2 P.M. Father Henry Smolenaars will be officiating. A reception will follow in the St Ambrose Jubilee Room. Interment will take place at a later date in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund.
