Obituary for Pamela Margaret Troop

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the death of Pamela (Sollows) Troop in Yarmouth Nova Scotia at the age of 67. Born in Port Maitland, Yarmouth Co., N.S., she was the daughter of the late Norman and Margaret (Bent) Sollows. Pam started her working career as the manager of a daycare in Kentville before devoting her life to helping others as a caregiver. She was a very strong woman with a heart to match. She is survived by her niece ,Shauna; nephew, Ryan; sister-in-law, Brenda, very good and close friends, Doreen Pothier, Heidi Dickson, Dana Watkins, Shirley Comeau, and Adrienne Doucet; and many other friends and family who will miss her dearly. Pam is also survived by Brenda's children, Jason and Shelley who were special to Pam and spent many Christmas eves with them at Jason's house. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Dave Sollows. She will be forever grateful to her feline friends, Smokie (who predeceased her) and Buddy, both of whom brought her much needed comfort and companionship in her final years. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A Graveside Service will be held June 17, 2023 at 11 a.m. from the Port Maitland /Beaver River Cemetery.
