Norma Louise Doane of Roseway Manor, formerly of Arcadia passed away peacefully on December 28,2022 at the Manor. She was born on February 9,1928 to the late Roy and Viola (Riggs) Trefry. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Norma worked at Zellers, Main Street, then at the Yarmouth Mall location. She was supervisor until her retirement. She loved feeding the birds and tending to her many flower gardens. She had a green thumb, and her gardens were beautiful. She absolutely loved her cats. She is survived by her son, Ronald (Barb) Doane; three grandchildren; three adopted grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two adopted great grandchildren and two step grandchildren. Norma was predeceased by her husband, Art Doane; three brothers, Irving, Douglas and Richard. There will be no funeral as per request. Memorial donation in Norma’s memory may be sent to the SPCA or Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
