Obituary for Nigel Bruton

On Sunday, February 18th, surrounded by family and friends, Nigel Clive Bruton passed away peacefully at home, in his favourite chair, after a short battle with cancer.

Nigel was born in Bristol, England on June 15, 1958. When he was 12, his family moved to Canada. He was predeceased by his loving Mum, his Father, his nieces Shelly and Michelle. He was married to the love of his life for 24 years, Debra (Debi) Jameson. He is survived by his brother Andrew & wife Mel; his sister Jennifer & husband John; his brother Lloyd & loved one Mady’ly. Nigel had several nieces and nephews, who he was proud of and whom he loved very much.

He was loved by all who knew him and his off the wall sense of humour. A special thank you to Chris, Lloyd, Steve and Arnold for making his last few days on earth enjoyable. The special friends we made over the past six years in Nova Scotia, were part of our family and they always made us feel like we were part of theirs. He was loved and will be missed by his family, his loved ones and all of his St. Catharines and Nova Scotia friends.

The Jameson family was also his family … Myrna & predeceased father-in-law Clifford; Donna & Garrie, Dyan & Pheleshia, Dale & Mike, Chris & Tina and predeceased brother-in-law Bryan & Holly.

Nigel chose how to live his life and how to end his life, his way. He retired to Nova Scotia after working at GM for many years, owning two restaurants, and taking many adventures to Costa Rica. His favourite past time was bike riding, listening to music, playing one of his many guitars and loving his furbabies, Oscar & Otis.

Nigel was my soul mate, best friend, my Mr. B, Babycakes and my Honey Bunny. Until we meet again!!!
