Penney, Nancy Jean 73, of North Chegoggin passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital with her family at her side. Born in Yarmouth she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Irene (Smith) Deveau. During her working years, Nancy worked in a variety of different places but will be remembered most as a hostess while working at the Austrian Inn and the Snack place. She was an active member of the Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church and TOPS. She enjoyed her fish pond, bird watching, gardening, and roses were her favourite. She will be missed by her sons: David, South Ohio; Eric, North Chegoggin, Glen (Erin Mackinnon), Halifax. Daughters-in-Law: Lynn (The late Blair Penney), North Chegoggin; Krista Deveau, Sandford. Grandchildren: Rena Falls, Jenelle Penney, Trevor Penney, David Falls, Brandon Burgess, Taylor Penney, Ainsley Bennett, Nicholas and Alexander Penney. Great Grandchildren: Everett Heroux, Caden Duncan, Emree and Avree Googoo. Besides her parents Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Clinton Penney, and Son, Blair Penney, as well as many brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2pm from Sweeny’s Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Kevin Myers officiating. Interment to follow in Chegoggin Cemetery.
