Myrna “Heather” Lent passed away on November 15,2022 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with Craig by her side. Born in Yarmouth on March 17,1959, she was lovingly raised by her grandparents, Clayton and Myrna Lent. Heather loved animals, always taking in strays to feed and love, even a baby racoon named Alice that she and Craig raised. She enjoyed spending time with Craig and the kids on the Tusket Islands and most recently watching mystery movies , shows, puzzles and anything to keep her mind mentally active and occupy her time. Her very special cat , Whitey was a constant companion. She is survived by her partner and love of her life, Craig Murphy, who lovingly cared for and loved her very much throughout the 40 years they have spent together; son, Shawn Lent; 7 grandchildren; step daughter, Crystal Harrington ; special , like a daughter, Stephanie Lewis; as well as many aunts and uncles , who were like brothers and sisters to her. She was predeceased by her grandparents, and son, Sandy Murphy, which she thought of daily and missed so dearly. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Yarmouth SPCA.
