Obituary for Milton Winslow Hanf

Milton Winslow Hanf age 70 of Carleton, passed away March 22nd, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born March 31st, 1951 in Yarmouth, he was a son to the late Vernon and Irma (White) Hanf. Milton was a woodsman and handy man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and fixing things. He loved a good yard sale and could barter like no other. He was not afraid of death but always said he wishes he could take all his dear friends with him. Milton had a special bond with his only grandchild, Savannah and dear friend Frank Landry. He was a kind loving man who will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Lorri (DeMille) Hanf; daughters, Chelsea-Ann (Robert Pierce); Rhonda (Jonathan d’Entremont); granddaughter, Savannah Pierce; future step grandson, Jude d’Entremont; siblings, Verna Melanson; Charlie (Lori); Leona Nicholl; George (Patsy). Aside from his parents he was predeceased by brother in laws, Eldridge Melanson; Neil Nicholl; niece, Karen Nicholl. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A celebration of life will be held on Milton’s 71st birthday, March 31st, 2022 from 1-4 pm at the Carleton Fire Hall, all are welcome. Interment to follow in the Deerfield Cemetery. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Tri County VON, Palliative Care team, Megan LeBlanc, as well as special family and friends who helped Milton with his final wish to stay at home.
