Nickerson Mildred Elizabeth-101, of Nakile Home for Special Care passed away on June 23,2020. Born on June 22, 1919 in Quinan she was the daughter of the late Amos and Mary (Frotten) Boucher. Mildred spent most of her life in Argyle head and was a very active member of her community. She was a Sunday school teacher, a member of the women’s institute and the sewing circle. She was a very crafty person who taught sewing in her home for many years. She was very skilled with her hands sewing, knitting, and crocheting until she lost her sight at the age of 90. She is survived by her Daughter, Ann (Roberts) Hamilton (Ross) Belleville; Sons, Adelbert Roberts Jr, Calgary; William Nickerson, Argyle Head; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Adelbert Roberts, husband Fredrick Nickerson and grandson Joshua Nickerson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A Funeral service will take place on Tuesday June 30 at 2pm with viewing prior to the funeral at 1pm from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. A.D. “Bill” Newell and Father Albany D’Entremont officiating. Due to current restriction with the Covid-19 pandemic only 50 people will be allowed inside the chapel, A live webcast will be available on Sweeny’s Funeral Home Website.
