We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother, Mary Ann Brittain, on March 3 2021. She was born on July 12, 1924, and was 96 years old at the time of her passing. Her parents were the late George and Clemente Jacquard. She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Brittain; her seven brothers; daughter, Rose; son, Wayne; and granddaughter, Wendy. Surviving are her children, Marie, Margaret, John, Linda, Donnie, Muriel, Michael, Neil and Raymond, and best friend and sister-in-law Sylvia. She will be missed by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with family and friends and welcoming new additions to our family. She loved butterflies, angels and roses. Her favourite past times included watching wrestling on TV and shows such as The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. Heartfelt thanks and appreciation are extended to the staff of Villa Saint-Joseph du Lac, and especially of Saint Agnes Comeau Villa, for the excellent and compassionate care provided for many years. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction's of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be a simple interment ceremony for immediate family at a later date.
