ROBERTS, Marjorie Carole — age 84 of Vancouver Place Seniors Residence in Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2017 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on September 15, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Ruby (Hayes) Langthorne of Argyle. Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marjorie took great pride in her baking, quilting, knitting and crafting skills. She is survived by her daughters, Gwendolyn (Norman) Fitzgerald, Comeau's Hill; Carole Roberts (Laryn) Murphy, Pubnico Head; Lillian (Robert) McCarthy, Deerfield; sister in law Margaret Langthorne and Alta Harding; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Victor Burton Roberts; brother, Stanley Langthorne; sisters, Ruby (George) Thomas, Ruth (Charles) Rines, Myrtle (Lawrence) Hurlburt, and Parazanda (Warren) Gould. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will take place Friday, December 1, 2017 from 7-9 P.M. in Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel. A private family graveside service will take place Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, with Pastor Mitchell DeWare officiating. No flowers by family request. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
