Marilyn was my most favourite person in the world. I could always count on her for no nonsense advice, a good laugh and candy from her magic drawer. She and I worked together at Meadowfields for a number of years and I came to look forward to seeing her first thing in the morning and sharing antedotes. She was there for me during some tough times......she was our own Dr. Phil! When health made it impossible for her to be in school, things got a lot quieter and she was so missed. We teased each other mercilessly but we both knew the other had respect and care for the other. I visited her about a week and a half before she passed and she was so upbeat and felt so good. I’ll miss you so much, Mare. Rest easy.

We were so blessed to have been in Marilyn’s life, even for just a short time. We enjoyed a visit in her home and reciprocated by having her and Elsa share a meal in ours. I still use the placemats and table cloth they gave us as a thank you.
I will remember her coming to sit with Elsa at The Salvation Army in Yarmouth. Remembering het family and her friend Elsa in prayer during these days of deep loss.

Jim and I send our sympathy to Marilyn’s family. She was a strong and supportive woman and I know her presence will be missed by many.
I remember being a little girl and so awed by this sophisticated teenager who came to visit Aunt Eileen and Uncle Harold.
