Obituary for Marie Josephe Marcadet
Marie Joseph Marcadet- 94 of Yarmouth NS, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital with family by her side.
Born on March 26, 1929, to father Pierre Paul and mother Marie Jeanne of St Pierre Miquelon. Marie is survived by her sister Yvonne and predeceased by her parents and siblings Laure, Pierre and Noel.
Marie was born in Halifax NS, where she worked as a seamstress at the Halifax Infirmary. Marie was an active lady who enjoyed walking and biking through Point Pleasant Park. Marie moved to Yarmouth NS, to be closer to family 17 years ago.
Marie had a deep love for her great niece Jennifer and her 2 young boys.
She had a passion for sewing and knitting and continued to do so into her 90’s. Marie could often be found visiting her friends at the Hands on Craft store and enjoyed spending time with her friend and neighbor Barb.
Special thank you to 4 North at the Yarmouth Hospital for their wonderful care. As per Marie's wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be no service at this time.
