Obituary for Margaret Rose Doucette

Doucette , Margaret Rose - 82, Yarmouth, passed away June 25,2019. Born in Yarmouth, March 2,1937 she was a daughter to the late Harold McGuire and Anna Doucette MacIsaac. Margaret was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 61, Yarmouth since 1995 and volunteered many hours to the Auxiliary. She enjoyed her Saturday nights dancing at the Legion, especially to DNR. Her life revolved around taking care of her five children while moving from base to base across Canada. She loved cooking, baking and making pickles for everyone to enjoy, she loved reading true crime and” SHOPPING” for her family and friends. She is survived by her loving Common law husband of 20 years Freeman Roderick Forbes Jr.; daughters Lynn Margaret(Charles) Burrell, Edmonton, Alberta; Kelly Ann (Fred) Hodgins, Pembroke, Ontario; Paula Jean (Melvin), West New Annan, Nova Scotia; First born , John Charles, Toronto, Ontario; grandchildren Megan, Daniel, Vincent, Ryan, Rye- Patrick, Lisa, Brandon, Stephanie, Kevin, and many great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son Patrick David (1976). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 2,2019 at 2pm. from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Yarmouth with Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. A private Interment will be at a later date. Family flowers only, memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 61, Yarmouth.
