Obituary for Malcolm Richardson

RICHARDSON, Malcolm James – 90, of Carleton, NS. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Malcolm (Mac) on October 18, 2018. Born in Carleton on February 19, 1928, he was the son of the late David and Verna (Rogers) Richardson. Mac was employed as a heavy equipment operator and in later years a long-haul trucker, both of which he enjoyed, always eager to share stories of his adventures. A friend to many, he was always known to lend a helping hand. He is survived by and will be deeply missed by daughter, Marilee (Bob) Jacquard; Yarmouth; sister Gail (Willy) Jack, Carleton; and beloved nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Wilma; sons James and David in infancy; and sister, Geraldine. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held, October 22, 2018, from 7– 9 pm and the funeral service will be held October 23, 2018, 2 pm, with Rev. Robert Gates officiating, both at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow in the Carleton Cemetary.
