Durkee, Lorraine Dorothy, 90, Yarmouth passed away May 5,2018 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 18,1927 in Yarmouth she was the daughter to the late George and Leona(DesChamps) Boudreau. Lorraine was well known as the fudge lady, delivering fudge to local grocery stores. She enjoyed baking and gardening, receiving a certificate for her beautiful gardens at her home in South Ohio. She loved to exercise and keep a healthy lifestyle. Her grandchildren and her great grandchildren were the apples of her eye and she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them. Lorraine is survived by her loving husband William Durkee; daughter Elizabeth (Thomas) Cushing, Greenwood; stepson, Kenneth Winter, that she could not have done without; brothers, Robert (Bernice), Dartmouth ; Harvey (June), Ontario; sister Catherine Hilchie, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Tracey (Shane) Schedler and Matthew (Sonia) Fudge; 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Stanley Scoville; brothers Victor and Vincent; sisters Mirium, Venice, Elizabeth ,Gladys and Jenivieve. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Memorial service in memory of Lorraine will be held Friday May 11, 2018 at 1:00pm from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. A.D Bill Newell officiating. Burial to follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
