Obituary for Lloyd Malcolm Harding

Lloyd Malcolm  Harding
Harding, Lloyd Malcolm, 85, Darling Lake passed away December 4, 2017 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Richfield, Digby County he was the son of the late Kenneth and Minnie (Nickerson) Harding .Lloyd was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He adored spending time with the kids; his passion was going in the woods to hunt and fish. His first career was in logging and in 1965 Lloyd and his wife Sarah moved to Ontario where he worked in the furniture industry, returning to Yarmouth in 1980 to work for Schooner Seafood’s as a refrigeration engineer until his retirement. He was well known for storytelling and being a jokester. You could always tell how much he loved you by how much he teased you, the more he teased, the more he loved. He is survived by his loving wife Sarah (Penney) Harding; daughter Sheri (Mike) Needham, Darling Lake; son Mike (Josee ) Harding, Forest Glen; grandchildren Brad (Emma), Greenwood, Stephanie (David), Yarmouth, Jared, Darling Lake; 3 step grandchildren, Melissa, Cindy and Michael; brothers Hilbert, and Earle, Ontario, Murray, Paul (Joan),Reigh , Yarmouth; sisters Muriel Crowell, Margaret Gray, Mabel Roberts, Kemptville, Alice (Donald) Smith, Richfield, Pearl (Ernie) LePorte, Pauline, Ontario. Besides his parents he was predeceased by Brothers Edwin, Victor, Keith, Chester, Lawrence in infancy and sister Lorraine. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Memorial service will be held Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 2:00pm. From the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev A.D Bill Newell officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the IWK or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
