Obituary for Lisa Anne Lewis

Lisa Anne  Lewis
It is with great sadness that we the family of announce the passing of Lisa Anne Lewis at the age of 49, on June 3, 2018 in Colchester Hospital, Truro. Born in Yarmouth , N.S. on September 23,1968 she was the daughter of Gary Lewis and the late Joyce (Cann) Lewis. Lisa was a hard worker and loved everyone. She will be sadly missed. She worked as a dockside and offshore observer monitor with Javitech Ltd, Midland Courier and Transport and as a correctional officer in a federal prison. She also volunteered with the Kidney Foundation when she went to school in Yarmouth. Lisa had interests in: aerobics, weight training, swimming, reading, and animals, especially her cats. She is survived by her father Gary Lewis, and step mother Rrene Lewis; step brothers, Kevin (Cara Crosby) Tufts, SK; Trevor (Stefanie Arsenault) Tufts, QC; Ted Tufts (Stefanie Wendt) AB; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Lisa was predeceased by her brothers, Curtis Lewis and Robert Scott Lewis ( September 2017 https://memorials.sweenysfuneralhome.net/robert-lewis/3126328/obituary.php ) . Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service for both Lisa and Robert Lewis on Sunday, June 24th, 2018 at 2 P.M. at Port Maitland/Beaver River Cemetery with Rev. A.D. “Bill” Newell officiating. Following the graveside service we wish to celebrate their lives so please join us at the South Ohio Community Center from 7-9 P.M for a time of fellowship with friends and family to share our fondest memories of Lisa and Scott. Tea coffee, juice and finger foods will be served. Donations in memory may be made to the Yarmouth S.P.C.A or a charity of your choice.
