Obituary for Levi Muise

Muise, Levi J. age 98, of The Meadow's Home for Special Care and formerly of Brooklyn, Yarmouth Co., N.S., passed away peacefully at The Meadows on January 23, 2021. Born on July 17th, 1922, in Surette's Island. He was a son of the late Joseph and Annie ( Moulaison), Muise. Levi was a meat cutter for many years before finishing his working career at Dominion Textiles. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and bowling, breaking 400 numerous times. He was also known to play pool at Kings Billards and Dooley's with "The Boys." The YMCA camp held a special place in his heart. He spent his summers there starting as a camper around the age of 12 and ended as a camp cook and counsellor. Levi is survived by his loving wife, Florence “Flora” Muise, Brooklyn; sons, Ray Muise, Hebron, Michael (Deborah) Muise, Gaetz Brook, sister, Evelyn White, Belleville ON; grandchildren, Aaron(Terri), Tamara (Danny) & Great grandchilden Lydia, Henry, Michael, Cole and Sarah. Besides his parents, Levi was predeceased by his brothers, Cecil, Arthur, Martin, John Nelson; sisters, Millie, Rita, Irene, and Adeline. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. At this time, there will be no service due to Covid-19 restrictions.
