Obituary

Deveau Leonard Wilfred 82, of Brooklyn, Yarmouth Co passed away on October 2,2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Cedar Lake he was the son of the late Wilfred and Frances (Doucette) Deveau. Leonard was a carpenter and tile setter by trade but spent half of his career working as a custodian at Maple Grove Education Center, from when the school opened until his retirement. He found joy in his family, gardening, planting his vegetables and tending them as they grew. He spent lots of his time helping others, tinkering around the yard, and working on his Model A Ford. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by many. He is survived by his loving wife Barb; sons, Craig (Elizabeth), Dwayne (Crystal); brother, Roger; sister, Leta Giles (Doug Crosby); grandchildren, Bailey, Nicholas, Nina; and step grandchildren, Rebekah and Caleb. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Memorial donations can be made to the friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer help fund.
