Kathy's career trajectory led her from teaching English at Welland High School, to IBM in Toronto where she worked at Ryerson in their computer department. In the early 1980s, she entered Osgoode Law School. Kathy's love of math led her to Price-Waterhouse and then Durwood-Jones where she specialized in tax law.
Kathy loved to travel and travelled with friends and family to many countries over the years, including, of course, Italy and Wales. After retiring, Kathy joined her sister, Ginnie Gobien in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, along with her mother and sister, Carol, nephew Grant, and great-nephew, Jesse. She immediately got involved in many organizations as a volunteer. In addition to acting in musicals and comedies, Kathy joined the Board of Directors at th'Yarc, and became treasurer of the Boys & Girls Club of Yarmouth B of D. She also became a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Yarmouth Regional Hospital and could be regularly seen in the Gift Shop.
Kathy's interests included golfing, being involved in productions at th'Yarc, singing with the Community Chorale, reading, and enjoying family time, especially with her nephews. She was funny, intelligent, generous, independent and will be sorely missed.
