The family of Kathleen (Lutes) Morehouse is heartbroken to announce her passing on August 24,2021, one week before her 93rd birthday. She was the daughter of the late Rose (Hopper) and Wallace Lutes of Moncton, NB. She is survived by daughters, Ruth Crozier (Rick), Saint John, NB; and Angie Thurston (Bill) of Yarmouth, NS. Kay fiercely loved her grandchildren, Vance and Dustin Crozier, Ashley and Farrah Collette. She was blessed with 3 great grandchildren, Kaeli, Lily, and Kaitlyn Crozier. She is also survived by her youngest sister, Sharon Henry. Kay was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Ronald Morehouse; siblings, Karl and Gary Lutes; Shirley Trites and Rachel Ryder. Kay wore many colorful hats, starting with living as a hearty farm girl from Lutes Mountain, Moncton, NB. Of the many hats she wore were, Pastors wife, Sunday School Teacher, choir director, DVBS teacher, teacher at Bethany Bible College, seamstress and Insurance Underwriter at LG Trask. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, picking berries of all kinds, preserving food that she had grown, often out of necessity, and enjoyed entertaining, where much laughter was had by all. In later years, she had learned to laugh at herself and took what life dealt with grace and a good attitude. She never stopped trying to help others.
On May 27th she posted on Facebook, “If I die, I’ll be with Jesus, If I live, he’ll be with me. So, if I live or die, I am the Lords. Either way, I win.”
We would like to thank the Meadows for continued care over the past 3 years and while in the Yarmouth Hospital, ICU and 4 East, most recently. Celebration of life will be held Tuesday, August 31,2021 at Beulah Camp, Browns Flat, NB. in the Tabernacle at 3:00pm on her 93rd birthday. Covid protocols will be greatly appreciated.
