Obituary for Kathleen "Kay" Crowell

Crowell, Kathleen, passed away peacefully at The Villa St. Joseph du Lac, on February 11,2021 with her son, Donnie by her side. Born in Kemptville on March 5,1929, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Maude (Hurburt) Crowell. Kay worked at the Trask Pharmacy in Yarmouth for a number of years and continued with Spears and Macleod Pharmacy until her retirement. She was a member of the Beacon United Church, Rebekah Lodge and was involved with the PC Party of Nova Scotia. She is survived by her children, Donnie Crowell, Yarmouth; Mary Graham (Howard), Westport; Jennifer Septon, Tracadie; grandchildren, Jennifer LeBlanc (Matt), Brickton; Krystin Blinn (Mario), Meteghan River; Mike Kolchetski (Caitlin), Yellowknife; Jason Graham, Westport; Melissa Graham, Kelowna; Holly Mattie, Fall River; sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Stoddard, Yarmouth; 12 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; nieces, Louise; Pat; Susan; MaryLou; nephews, Gordie and Charles. Kay was predeceased by her parents; brother, Charles; sisters, Marion; Francis; Dorothy; grandson, Derek; nieces, Janice; Eva; Helen and nephew, Willis. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A Graveside Service will be held in Chebogue Cemetery on August 28, 2021 at 2 P.M. with Rev. A.D. "Bill" Newell officiating. Memorial donations may be made to The Villa St. Joseph du Lac.
