Obituary for Kathleen June Grace

Kathleen June Grace (Mullen) age 81, passed away at home in Port Maitland surrounded by her loving family with grace and dignity. Born to parents Archibald and Dorothy (Challoner) Mullen on June 8,1940 in Springdale, Digby Co., as the youngest of twelve siblings. Kay started her working career at the Royal Store in Yarmouth. Took time off to have and raise her three children. Returning to work at the Sum Good Store and then to manage the Farmers Dairy Treat in Dayton until she retired at age 65. She was always willing to go on a road trip. It did not matter where as long as ice cream was involved. She loved to bake and cook. Loved picking berries, was an avid reader and enjoyed many different crafts including quilting, ceramics, cross stitch, and right up until she got sick with cancer, diamond painting. She will be forever missed by her three children, Barb (Gary) Smith, Norwood; Kevin, Edmonton; Diane (Bruce) Thompson, Beaver River; three grandchildren, Crystal, Tiffany, and Brad; three great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Mildred, Irene, and Lillian. She was predeceased by siblings, Norman, Leslie, Lloyd, Willard, Edward (Ned), Marguerite, Genevieve, and Hazel. She has requested no visitation or funeral service. In her memorial donations may be made to the Tri County VON or charity of your choice.
