June Marie Swaine – age 66, of Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Doctors Cove, Shelburne County and was a daughter to Deborah (Ross) Banks and the late George Banks. June could be described as fun-loving, thoughtful and caring. She also had a spontaneous carefree attitude and a great sense of humour. She was a food service worker at many seniors’ homes where she had great compassion for the elderly. June loved wildlife, especially birds which was evident by the many birdfeeders around her property. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, going on trips to the valley, and always looked forward to seeing old friends at the Barrington Exhibition. She is survived by her loving spouse of 32 years, Shenton Allen; daughter, Christa (Joshua) Bode, Maui; sons, Ryan Swaine, North Chegoggin; mother, Deborah Banks; brothers, Donnie (Christine) Banks, Barrington; Johnnie Banks, Barrington; sister, Rosemary Banks, Shelburne. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. As per June's wishes, there will be no service.
