GRANT, Joyce Rita- age 93, Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2021. Born in in Yarmouth on February 6, 1928, she was a daughter to the late Winston and Lillian (Hubbard) Scoville. Joyce was employed at the Cosmos Imperial Cotton Mill for 20 years and then worked at Anthony’s Greenhouse for seven years before retirement. She is survived by her three daughters; Joan Nickerson, Anne Marie Fletcher, and Karen (Mark) Bullerwell; sisters, Leta Deveau, Louise Fox, Victorine Deveau, and Gloria Rozen; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George; four brothers, Wallace, Kenneth, Gerald, Donald, sisters, Pauline Doucette and Irene Manthorne. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A private family committal service will be held in Chebogue Cemetery at a later date.
