Obituary for John Lawrence Doucette

Doucette, John Lawrence, 82 of Mood Road , Summerville passed away on March 17,2018 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Roberts Island, Yarmouth County, N.S. He was the son of Joseph and Sarah (Surette) Doucette. John was a lobster fisherman most of his life. He enjoyed trout fishing, 4 wheeling, hunting and loved Western movies. He is survived by his wife Hazel (Cunningham); daughters Lisa Marie Redmond (Wade) of River John, Pictou Co.; Shawna Donaldson of Yarmouth Co.; son Darren Doucette of Raynardton; brothers Robert (Dora) of Deerfield; Donald (Darla) of Ontario; sisters Helena Myers (Paul) of Boston, Mass.; Blanche Moulaison of Arcadia; 3 grandchildren Nathan Boudreau, Laura Boudreau, and Morgan Donaldson and great grandchild Lyric Donaldson. John was predeceased by granddaughter, Ashley Doucette, brother Harvey and sisters Evelyn, Barbara and Mildred. Graveside service will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Saint Anne Du Ruisseau Parish Cemetery with Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium in Yarmouth. Donations may be made to charity of choice.
