Obituary for John "Allan" Boudreau

BOUDREAU John “Allan” – age 79, of Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2020, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on October 15, 1940, he was a son to the late J. Oscar and Charlotte (DeViller) Boudreau. Allan was a devoted member of St Ambrose Co-Cathedral, where he was an usher and altar server. He was also a proud 4th Degree Knights Columbus with Council 2181. He is survived by his brothers, William “Bill” (Marion) Sandy Point Shelburne Co; David (Jacquelyn) Lower Sackville; sister, Carol Boudreau (Doug Frickelton),Yarmouth; Sister-in-Law Nora Boudreau, New Brunswick, nieces, Wendy, Cheryl, Deborah, Arlene, Angela, Tracy, Courtney, and Ashley; nephews, Steven and Steven; 9 great-nephews, 5 great-nieces, and 1 great-great nephew. Besides his parents, Allan was predeceased by his sisters, Theresa Boudreau in infancy and Shirley Hicks, brother, Wayne. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Due to COVID 19, visitation will be by appointment only from 1-3 P.M. on Sunday, May 17, 2020 (Please call 902-742-3245 if you wish to come). Prayers will be conducted by the Knights of Columbus Council 2181 at 7 P.M. on Sunday, May 17, 2020. The prayers can be watched via webcast at www.sweenysfuneralhome.net. A private family funeral service will be held Monday, May 18, 2020, at 10 A.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Father Henry Smolenaars officiating. The funeral service will be available via webcast at the above web address. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctor, nurses and LPNS on fourth floor south for their compassionate care of Allan over the past few months as well as, to Dr. David Webster, for his outstanding care and compassion for Allan over many Years.
