Obituary for Gregory George Dease

Gregory George Dease, age 73 of Yarmouth passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on October 26,2019, with his wife and brother at his side. Born in Yarmouth, he was the son of the late George and Sophia (Nixon) Dease. He was a counselor at Boys and Girls Club, Social Worker, co owner of a sporting goods store, assistant manager at Clipper Ship Tavern and Anvil in Wolfville, worked on motion pictures and retired from the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission. Greg was an avid hunter and loved fishing. He is survived by his wife, Meredith Anne (DeViller) ; brother, Jack (DonnaLee) Dease of Yarmouth; sister, Louise Boyd of St. Catharines, Ontario; sister-in-law, Adrienne Speck, of Yarmouth; Darlene Brown(Martin)of Burlington, Ontario ; brothers-in-law, Darryl DeViller (Sharon) of Yarmouth; and Rick DeViller (Louise) of Halifax; nieces, Beverly Boyd Froese, Krista Clarke, Hilary and Allison Brown, and Jessica DeViller; nephews, Greg Boyd (Sue), Jeremy (Renee) and Julian (Vanessa) Dease, Darren DeViller (Trena), Tamara Cottreau (Leaman), and Adam DeViller ; great nieces and nephews, Mateo, Jack, Violet, Greg Boyd, Thomas and Jude; and also Jorie. Besides his parents Greg was predeceased by a brother-in-law Fred Boyd. There will be no service by family request. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium in Yarmouth. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the SPCA or TNR.
