Obituary for Gordon Edward Brush

With our families broken heart, we announce the passing of Gordon Edward Brush, 92 of Dayton, June 29,2021 at the Villa St Joseph du Lac with loving family by his side. Born in Yarmouth July 15,1928 he was a son to the late Harry and Ruth (Smith) Brush. Gordon was a lifelong member of the Yarmouth Golf and Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed carpentry, building his own cottage. He is survived by daughters, Carolyn Boudreau, Yarmouth; Ruth (Mike) Hubbard, Brooklyn; sisters, Joyce Smith and Gloria Meuse; grandchildren, Monisa (Jon), Edward (Sarah), Dawn (Jon), Michael (Sue) and Mandy; great grandchildren, Monisa, Malaina, Mariah, Tyler and Ashley. Aside from his parents, Gordon was predeceased by his loving wife, Eleanor; son Bobby; brothers, Bernard, Hubert; sisters, Olive and Mary. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be Monday July 5,2021 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with prayers at 8 pm from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 6,2021 at 2pm also in the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a webcast on the Sweeny’s Funeral Home website for those who are unable to attend. Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. Memorial donations may be made to the Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund.
