Deveau, Elfriede, 84 of Wellington passed away at home on June 7,2020 with her loving husband by her side. Born in Germany, November 7,1935, she was a daughter of the late Gustave and Anna Bernsdorf. Elfriede took great pride in raising her family. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, and sewing and could sew just as well as any machine. She was a supervisor at Maple Grove Education Centre for 25 years, the children adored her as she adored all of them. She absolutely loved camping and was a fixture at the Fundy Spray Campground for 17 years. If she had her way, she would have lived there year-round. Elfriede is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Nelson; sons, Norman (Paula) Deveau, Ohio; Kevin (Mary) Deveau, Ontario; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Ingridt (Walter) Zappa, Germany. She was predeceased by her daughter Marion Nickerson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A graveside memorial service will take place August 20, 2021 at 10 A.M. in Brooklyn cemetery with Rev. A.D.
