Our family got to know and love Elaine on various camping trips in Nova Scotia and PEI. In addition to spoiling her grandkids, Elaine was pretty darn good at spoiling our own kids, Sana and Anik. They would often venture away to hear Jack play a tune but we knew, it's was Elaine's bag of treats and scrumptious desserts that lured them away from our campsite to the Smith's camper. Camping season will soon be upon us again, and we miss Elaine, but we will always cherish the memories and the wonderful times we shared together. With love, Chuck and Jennifer

We fondly remember Elaine especially as kids and our many visits next door when you would arrive home with the girls for a weekend. Shortly after noticing your car pull in the driveway, we would race across the lawn landing at the doorstep, every time. I'm sure we drove your parents crazy, Jack. Always joking, laughing and teasing Elaine was such fun to be around. She had a big heart and a warm smile for everyone. We had the best neighbours growing up, thanks for the memories ! Our deepest condolences to all the family.

I work at NSCC. Elaine was a bright light in the cafeteria. I never walked away from a conversation with Elaine where I wasn’t smiling or crying with laughter. I will miss seeing her. She spoke often about her children and grandchildren. I know they brought her so much joy. I also know that, whatever time the young ones have had wit her, she will be remembered. My sincere sympathies to her husband and family.
