Newell, Eben Leslie, 75 of Barrington passed away September 12,2022 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth he was a son to the late Harold and Ola Smith. Eben was a lobster fisherman and a hard worker. He had a good sense of humor and a jokester. He enjoyed going to Tim Hortons to socialize with the gang on a daily basis. He loved his children and grandchildren immensely. He was a kind loving man, especially to his late wife when she was ill. He is survived by his daughters, Ola (Daniel) Newell, Wood’s Harbour; Rebecca Newell, Yarmouth; sons, Elliot Newell, Yarmouth; Leslie Newell, Sandy Point; grandchildren, Matthew; Suzanne; Dakota; Trisha; Tiffany; Tanner; Tyler; Ashton; Sage; Chance; Aria; and Grayden; great grandchildren, JoJo; Kayda and Jace; his late companion, Francis’s children, Trent (Elizabeth); Sheila (Ray); Rozanne (Willard); Mary (Daryl); Valerie (Rob) and Jacquline. Aside from his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Edith; companion of 6 years, Francis. Visitation will be Monday, September 19,2022 from 12-1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Newellton Baptist Church. Pastor Bob Parker officiating.
