Dear Sherryl , Elaine , Brian and families ;
When I first began attending Beacon United Church, Doris took me under her wing. She pretty much gave me the ins and outs on how everything worked. She introduced me not just to the people, but also to the church. She encouraged me to take on some committees. I chose the kitchen which seemed to please her. together we pushed, and preached about a new kitchen. We did achieve that goal and the color on the walls was her choice. So whenever I am in that kitchen. Doris is with me. I will miss her terribly. You are all in my prayers. God Bless.

Dear Sherryl , Elaine , Brian and families ;
How many fond memories I have of your Mom and Dad . Dwight first met them through hockey by volunteering , called Doris from a phone booth , I believe. That was very likely in the early seventies . We did spend some happy times together , although they were brief as we were busy with our young family. Bob used to stop and see us at the candy factory in PM when he was travelling in the nineties . Such a lovely photo of your Mom . Nobody will ever forget her beautiful smile . She was really lovely to talk to . She and Dwight loved to torment one another . My sincere sympathies to you all . Patty ( Ollenberger ) Saulnier .

Thanks Patty, many fond memories for us as well. I remember the candy factory stops and samples, Dwight coaching and me working with him in at the service stations. He had me working nights and would come down to close up and resolve any issues that I had going on. Lots of fun. Brian

To each of Doris's friends and family...Our family sends its most sincere condolences as we learn of the loss of such an amazing soul. Doris, was spectacular to say the least, with her cheeky grin and comments that always made me feel her to be a comedian at heart. The entire Greenwood family considers Doris as a treasured family member and my Grandfather Greenwood was always on her radar. She was so good to him...it leaves me speechless and tears in my eyes. Doris opened her heart and home to our entire family, and we will always love her very dearly. The road ahead will seem long, but we will all see each other again. Doris... I expect that sly grin and nothing less from you. Sleep in peace wonderful lady.

Dear Sherryl, Brian and Elaine, So sorry for the loss of your mom. Tom will certainly remember your mom as his Grade 10 teacher. I have fond memories of living in the same neighbourhood and remember your mom and dad visiting the MacNeils and talking about hockey!
Sincerely, Patti

Thanks Patti, lots of good memories for us as well. A lot of hockey games were won in the MacNeil’s living room.

My sincere condolences go out to the whole family... I have only known Doris for a short period of time, but we spent almost every day together since we have been on lockdown at The Meadows. She truly had an impact on me and I just loved visiting with her. She was so kind, had a sense of calmness about her, was funny, thoughtful, and so smart. She was loved by all here. I will never forget her and will miss her dearly. Thinking of you all.

Thanks Morgan, mom enjoyed her time with you as well. She enjoyed her crib games and the time you spent with her. Appreciate what you did to make her stay at the Meadows more pleasant. Brian
