Meuse, Doreen, 92 of The Meadows Home for Special Care, Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on June 3,2021. Born in Deep Brook, NS, she was a daughter to the late George and Hilda (Lockhart) Nelson. Doreen enjoyed planting flowers, gardening and eating out at different restaurants. She had a love for sailboats since her early childhood, when her and her brother would sail along the shores of the Annapolis Basin. She is survived by sons, Nelson (Lenore), Saulnierville; Christopher (Peggy), Yarmouth; daughters, Jean Anne (Dave) Thompson, Yarmouth; Lynn (Alan) Pottier, Belleville; sister, Erna Henshaw, Deep Brook; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Bob; sisters, Hope and Shelagh. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A graveside service will be held at a later date. In Doreen’s memory, memorial donations may be made to the Tri County VON or Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund.
