Obituary for David Larkin

Larkin, David Allan Passed away peacefully Tuesday April 17, 2018 at the age of 70 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late LeRoi & Margaret (Cutten) Larkin of Dartmouth NS,
David started his professional career with CIBC in Halifax, was then transferred to Souris and Summerside PEI, Campbellton, NB and Dartmouth NS, as he climbed the ranks to branch manager. David continued to advance his accounting / comptroller career with Stevens Group Ltd & Secunda Marine in Dartmouth before moving to Quincy MA to work in investment banking & real estate. David retired to Argyle Sound NS in 2007 where he spent many childhood summers with family.
David was an avid traveler who liked to soak in the cultures he visited, he had no problem striking up conversations with locals to find the best spots to see & eat. He is survived by his brothers Rick & LeRoi ; sisters Christine (Don Guest) and Patricia (Chuck Feltmate); sons Allan (Kim) and Mark (Dawn); grandchildren Melissa, Trevor, and Mitchell; companion Adeline Boudreau, Yarmouth.
David was predeceased by his first wife Elaine (Henbrey) of Lwr. Sackville NS, and second wife Mary (Stanton) of Quincy MA. The family extends a sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for their care and compassion offered to David.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 1:30pm from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Yarmouth .Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Pubnico NS. Donations in memory of David can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Yarmouth Regional Hospital ACLU.
