Clinton Francis  Atkinson
Atkinson, Clinton Francis – age 78 of Roberts Island passed away April 28, 2018 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. He was born in Argyle, Nova Scotia to the late Arthur Neil and Eunice Marjorie (Lee) Atkinson. An electrician and plumber by trade, he taught Electrical Construction and Wiring at Burridge Vocational School in Yarmouth until his retirement. He was an active member of the Yarmouth County Ground Search & Rescue for many years, receiving a 30 year recognition award from EMO Nova Scotia in December 2017. He is survived by daughters Sandra (Ronald) Crowell, Roberts Island, Lorelei Atkinson (Gus Green), Roberts Island; Melissa Saulnier (Ronnie Nickerson), Roberts Island; son Michael Atkinson (Frances),Peace River, Alberta. Grandchildren Sandi Crowell, Clinton Crowell, Madison Doucette, Wyatt Doucette, Justine Atkinson, Kurtis Atkinson, Andrew Saulnier, Julia Saulnier; and 3 great grandchildren. Clinton was predeceased by his wife Judith. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. from Sweenys Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held Thursday May 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. from Sweenys Funeral Chapel with Rev. A.D. Bill Newell officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Yarmouth County Ground Search & Rescue.
