Condolence: Dear Mrs. Robbins, Anne, Christopher & family. My Mum called this morning to tell me about your Dad's passing. I can't tell you how shocked and sad I was when I heard the news. She had just found out at the breakfast table this morning. The next thing that she said was "and we never got up to see them" with a little sigh of sadness. She had been asking me to take her up to see you parents for two or three weeks, and it was always, either the weather wasn't cooperating or either myself or Mum had an appointment. Now I feel really bad that we didn't get up to see the both of them. I didn't really know your Dad that well, however I'd always stop in to see them both whenever I was visiting Mum. He always had a smile and made me feel welcome, I'd sometimes call him 'handsome' and he'd kind of chuckle. It was a blessing that he had that ipad of his, I think that's what kept him entertained when you Mom moved downstairs. They always had their little game of crib, and the rest of the time he'd be checking out things like the weather, or catching up on the news, or looking at pictures, especially the ones that you send him when you and Blair went on your trip to Ireland. Of course he had to show me everyone of them:) One thing I know for sure Anne, was he loved you and Christopher with all his heart. His eyes would light up whenever he's talk about either one of you. It certainly won't be the same without him I know, however if we look at it in a different way, we are so very lucky that we had our Dad's for as long as we did. We will never stop missing them, but like myself, there will come a day, when you will remember all the wonderful years, and memories you had with him.
