Digby, Catherine Inez Robicheau, 72, passed into eternity on April 28, 2023, after a 2 year battle with Cancer. She died at home, comfortably, in her own bedroom, which was her wish. She was born in Digby on March 14, 1951 to Lovett and Eileen (Murphy) Trimper.
Catherine went to school in Digby and held many jobs in restaurants and housecleaning for seniors, she also cared for seniors in her home for a few years. She was a great cook!
She, and previous husband David Amero, raised 2 children, Anita and Todd. Her first husband David died in 1994. She then married Larry Robicheau in 2001. They were soul-mates, and it was through Larry that she started going to church and joined the catholic church in 2011. Her faith was very important to her. She loved going to church, studying the Bible, prayer groups and helping the church and her community however she could.
Her favorite Bible passage/story was Luke 10:38-42 NIV: As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” Mom loved sitting at the feet of Jesus, learning about him, studying scripture and spending time at church functions. She especially loved the Cursillo Movement of Yarmouth and Lakeside Advent Christian Campground in Maine.
She loved her home in Acaciaville and she loved being outside in the woods, ever since she was a child. When she was in the woods, she felt like she was with God.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Larry, who has lovingly taken care of her during her illness; two children Anita and Todd, 2 step-sons Joey and Clarry and families. She had 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by step-mother Edith Trimper and brothers Steve, Seldon and Roland Trimper, and sister Twyla Doherty and their families. She was predeceased by first husband David, infant son David Jr. , her parents, and her brother Dale.

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday May 3, 2023 from 2-4 PM in Weymouth at St. Joseph Church, 17 Weymouth Falls Rd. All are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Josephs Catholic Church on Thursday May 4, 2023 at 11 am. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Plympton with her first-born son, David Jr..
