Carol Edith (Gray) Forbes passed away peacefully on January 9, 2022, at Villa Saint-Joseph du Lac. Carol was the daughter of the late Keith and Helen Gray of Plymouth, NS. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Allan Forbes, and her son, Ronald Forbes. Carol is survived by a son, Randall (Alma); and daughters, Elizabeth Cody, Meredith Forbes and Lisa d’Entremont (Armand); brothers Keith (Pat) and Gary (Bonita); sister Ellen; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Carol was a sweet lady with a big heart, always doing for others and putting others before herself. She loved her family and enjoyed knitting, gardening and trying to tell a joke! In her younger years, she took a course to become a CNA and graduated in 1979. She held many different jobs throughout her life; however, she loved being a homemaker and raising her family. She is loved dearly by her family and will be greatly missed. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A funeral service will be held in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 11 A.M., with Rev. Randy Forbes and Rev. David Hockley officiating. Interment will follow in Plymouth Cemetery. Due to a 50 person, seating capacity the family will be given priority seating. The service can be live-streamed on Sweeny’s Funeral Home website.
