Carol Marie Comeau – age 74, of Arcadia, Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away on April 13, 2023, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in South Ohio she was a daughter to the late Patrick and Marion (Harding) Deion. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was a waitress for many years at several different restaurants. In her spare time, she loved to knit, bowl swim, and spend many summers at their camp on the Tusket Islands. She is survived by her loving husband Donald; daughter, Yvette Comeau; sons, Ronald (Lynn), Gary, Sydney (Marjorie), Daniel (Monica); sisters, Beverly (Loran) Ellis, Sally Deion, Theresa (Leo) Comeau, Marlene (Roy) Doucette; grandchildren, Kyle, Travis, Alyse, Laura; great-grandchildren, Charlie and Zane; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brother, Ernest. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 7-9 P.M. In Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Prayers at 7:30 P.M. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 2 P.M. from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Melbourne with Father Henry Smolenaars officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. A reception will follow in the Melbourne community Hall. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
