Roberts, Beverley Francis “Bev”, 76, Melbourne, passed away February 15, 2018 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in South Ohio , September 15, 1941 he was the son of the late Clarence and Florence (Allen) Roberts. Bev was a member of Union 56 Plumbers and Pipefitters for 35 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and going back to Kempt. He was a stock car driver in the Yarmouth area in his younger years and loved to play horseshoes as well as many other activities , hobbies and interests. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary (Hunt) Roberts; daughter Kathy (Jimmy) Boudreau, Tusket Falls; sons David (Peggy), Dartmouth; Cyril (Tammy) , Beaver Bank; Brothers Keith (Elsie) Roberts, Bedford; Arthur (Millie) Roberts, Greenwood; sisters Marilyn Crowell, Kemptville; Carol (Erving) Randall, Woodstock, NB; 8 grandchildren ; 1 great grandson as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Bev was predeceased by his son Brian; brothers Maynard, Leroy, Kenny, Garth, Junior; Sister Hilda and many in-laws. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will take place from 12:30 – 2:00pm Sunday, February 18, 2018 just prior to the Memorial service which will be held at 2:00pm both from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel.
