GOUDEY, Beverley Sharon 72, of Brazil Lake, passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2020 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, on February 19th, 1947, she was a daughter to the late Jack Irving and stepdaughter to the late Marjory Irving, as well as stepdaughter to the late Herb Montanye. Beverley was an amazing kind caring person, and her laugh was contagious. As a homemaker, a wife, and a mother, she was strong, capable and tireless, always looking after everyone. She babysat several children over the years including her grandsons and great-grandsons as well took in foster children. In 1989 she went back to school and graduated from NSCC as a CCA. For years she was the local Avon lady and she enjoyed doing deliveries so she could talk to visit with all the ladies in the community.
She is survived by her husband, partner and best friend of 54 years, Roy; her sons, Bryan (Angela) , Brazil Lake; Philip (Kellyanne), Brazil Lake; her grandsons, Russell (Jenna), Brazil Lake; Andrew (Sarah), Carleton; Michael (Melony) ,Springdale, and Travis, Springdale. She was known as GG to her 2 great-grandsons, Ryder and Mason. She is also survived by her mother, Gladys Montanye, Hebron ; brother, John Irving ,Halifax; several in-laws; cousins, and friends that will miss her greatly as well as her church family at the Kingdom Hall. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 25,2020 from 2-4pm. from the Valley and District Fire Department, Deerfield. Family Flowers only. A private interment will take place in the Brazil Lake Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Brazil Lake Cemetery or charity of your choice.
