Obituary for Bernard Roland Durling

Durling, Bernard Roland, Yarmouth. Born in Simpsons Corner, April 10th, 1936, died in Yarmouth, December 6, 2018. He was the son to the late Budd and Ruth (Deamone) Durling. Bernie was an employee of Maritime Tel and Tel for 34 years. Bernie enjoyed gardening, walking, playing rook, and spending time with his family. He was a past member and trustee of Zion United Baptist Church and had a strong faith in God. He is remembered fondly as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his wife Shirley, his sons Chris (Judy), and Joel (Heidi), grandchildren Sam, Gabe, and Chloe, sisters Marie (Lloyd), Betty (George), and Francis (Douglas), as well as brothers Roger, Raymond (Beatrice), and Donald (Linda). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A celebration of life service will be held Monday December 10th at 3 pm. from the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church, a reception following immediately after, also at the church. Interment will be held in the spring in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Yarmouth Cancer Center. Family flowers only please.
